Welcome to Sharon Lynn Writes! My novels and short stories are about courageous, clever women solving suspenseful mysteries.

The vibrant cultures and scandalous crimes of Arizona and Southern California are the inspirations for many of my stories. Although it was living in England as a teenager, and every return trip since that inspired the setting of my debut series, A Cotswold Crimes Mysteries. Death Takes a Bath: A Cotswold Crimes Mystery Book 1 is available now in trade paperback, ebook, and audio book, and Death Takes a Fall: A Cotswold Crimes Mystery Book 2 is available for pre-order for trade paperback, ebook, and audio with a release date of 5 December.

GREAT NEWS: My publisher, Level Best Books, has extended the contract for A Cotswold Crimes Mystery series through book 6!

My short stories can be found in anthologies from Malice Domestic and Desert Sleuths. I am a member of the Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, The Blackbird Writers, and the Author’s Guild. (See full list on the Book page.)

I’m a professor of theater, film, and writing. My husband and a border collie/mini-Aussie mix keep me entertained and on track. My passions are storytelling, mentoring young writers and filmmakers, traveling, and cooking. (Check out my recipes and writing tips in Recipes to Kill For a cookbook by Desert Sleuths.)
